Finally, all the kids are at school and I more or less have my life back. The concept of "Mike Wazowski you've got your life back Lane" from Monsters Inc. is starting to make more sense.
Strangely, I've been wanting to spend less time online, which may be a good thing.
I notice that www.linkable.org has stopped working again - who knows why.

Multiply claims that I can now cross-post to twitter and facebook. Let's see if that's true - that'll make things easier...

experimental first post
Googling the following phrase seems to turn up nothing, so I'll be the first to say it.
"There is no such thing as society, only Facebook."

Somehow I've forgotten to post anything for ages! I think the time I spend on the net is proportional to my boredom, and somehow I haven't been very bored. I reported a fake Facebook profile yesterday, but let's see if they do anything (they haven't yet).
And this is a test to check that Krystina is watching (are you?)

I just joined a Facebook group about children's BBC presenter Cerrie Burnell, who was born with a partial arm and is getting bizarre complaints from viewers. I don't think she's such an amazing presenter, but she shouldn't have to deal with this. What people should be complaining about is the crazy spelling of her name, which is pronounced "Kerry"!
In a related story, I told my kids that "daddy thinks that girls with no arms are pretty". They seemed to think that was reasonable. What I really need is a children's book in which this is a significant plot element, but that's probably going to be wishful thinking for a while :)

Recently for some reason I've been feeling as if a lot of people generally perceive me to be an annoying fly! I do have a track record of being able to wreck relationships completely by saying one wrong thing, so this may not be as far fetched as it might sound. I feel somewhat like a 13 year old girl pathetically trying to get her cousin to notice her, without any success. (Not that I would have any experience of that.) I'll stop now before they send me to the looney bin.
